Hi! I’m Emily Cliver, a photographer, storyteller, and mom of four boys living in Raleigh, NC. I’ve been selling my photography for over 15 years and exploring the world far longer. From sunlit Paris cafés and moss-covered Icelandic cliffs to Florentine alleyways and Mediterranean harbors, travel is my passion and a steady part of my life, woven between raising a family, building a business, and chasing beauty wherever I go. I wander the kinds of places that stay with you and turn them into art that does the same.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.”
That quote, often attributed to Mark Twain, has followed me for years, shaping how I live, create, and raise my family. Before photography, I spent a over a decade in corporate leadership, considered law school, and once dreamed of saving the planet. I still might—but this little world of photography I've built remains my constant. It allows me to chase light, pursue my passions and connect with people around the world in a way that feels meaningful and lasting.
Vita Nostra means Our Life in Italian. It’s a reflection of how I see this journey, not just from place to place, but through seasons of becoming. These prints are pieces of that journey. They’re made to bring warmth, memory, and a sense of place into your space.
When I’m not behind the camera, planning the next trip or living the dream as a sports mom, you can find me redesigning homes on Pinterest, planting too many flowers, cooking from my (ever-growing) cookbook collection, or handweaving tiny beaded earrings in bold colors. I'm equally at home in the city, on the water or in the mountains. I love learning, connecting and chasing whatever sparks curiosity next.
I’ve been part of the Etsy community since 2009, and I’m honored every time someone trusts me to help tell their story through art. Whether you’re purchasing a single print or curating an entire gallery wall, I’m here to help, and I promise I’ll make it fun.
Life is short. Buy the art. Chase the dream. Wander often.
Explore, Dream, Discover.
